Universal Logistics (ULH)

The company reports three main business segments: Contract Logistics, Intermodal and Trucking. Universal’s Intermodal segment connects truck and rail transportation to help customers move containers and freight efficiently over longer distances. Its Trucking operations provide truckload services, while brokerage capabilities allow the company to source third-party capacity when customer demand exceeds owned or dedicated resources. This mix gives Universal flexibility across different freight markets and allows it to serve customers with varying shipment sizes, lanes and service requirements.

The United States is Universal’s primary revenue market, although the company also operates in Mexico, Canada and Colombia. Its geographic footprint supports cross-border supply chains, especially those linked to manufacturing, automotive, retail and industrial production. Universal’s competitive position is based on tailored logistics design, operational execution, customer-specific transportation programs and the ability to combine multiple modes of freight movement within one service platform.
