SPCX buy

Buy SpaceX (SPCX). JPMorgan’s view is specific: Cursor adds ~$4B annual recurring revenue with ~60% enterprise mix, and Cursor data is already feeding Grok training with observed model-performance gains. Pair that with the $100B Louisiana Starship launch facility, which directly supports the launch cadence needed for Starlink expansion and future valuation growth. Thesis: SpaceX becomes an enterprise AI + data platform business layered on top of its launch/satellite cash engine.

Key Risk: Starship launch timelines slip materially, starving Starlink growth and making the AI/enterprise story look like hype rather than scalable revenue.

Starlink supply chain buy

Buy satellite ground-segment/communications enablers tied to Starlink scaling—specifically L3Harris (LHX) and Iridium Communications (IRDM). The logic: if Starship cadence rises from the Louisiana buildout, Starlink throughput and enterprise demand rise, pulling forward orders for tracking, communications, and network services. This is the “aerospace execution” payoff to the AI/enterprise narrative.

Key Risk: Starlink growth disappoints because capacity, regulation, or customer adoption lags even if Starship construction proceeds.

  • SpaceX shares rise after closing at their $135 IPO price.
  • JPMorgan sees significant upside from SpaceX's growing AI ambitions.
  • Louisiana launch facility could support thousands of Starship launches.

SpaceX SPCX shares rose about 2.5% on Tuesday after closing at its initial public offering price Monday, as JPMorgan highlighted the company's expanding artificial intelligence ambitions and enterprise strategy.

JPMorgan reiterated an Overweight rating and $240 price target on SpaceX, implying roughly 74% upside from the stock's current price.

JPMorgan sees AI opportunity

JPMorgan's bullish view centers partly on SpaceX's acquisition of Cursor, which closed August 14.

Cursor contributes approximately $4 billion in annual recurring revenue as of June 2026, with around 60% coming from business customers, according to JPMorgan.

The firm sees the acquisition as an important step in SpaceX's efforts to develop enterprise AI capabilities.

The acquisition provides data for model training and supports SpaceX's go-to-market strategy, JPMorgan said.

The firm also noted that Cursor data has been incorporated into supplemental training for Grok.

JPMorgan said it has observed improvements in recent model performance following the integration of Cursor data.

The AI push adds another dimension to SpaceX's investment story as the company seeks to expand beyond its traditional aerospace and satellite businesses.

SpaceX plans $100 billion Louisiana facility

SpaceX is also expanding its physical infrastructure, with plans for a new $100 billion launch facility in Louisiana.

The Louisiana Economic Development office said SpaceX will establish Starbase, Louisiana, in Vermilion Parish to support thousands of launches annually.

The facility is expected to serve as a main launch site for Starship, SpaceX's in-development rocket. Starship is designed to be fully reusable and is the largest rocket ever built or flown.

SpaceX said its search for a location with space to build launch pads and access to sufficient fuel took about seven years.

Elon Musk said the project could bring "probably 10,000 really exciting jobs" to Louisiana.

The company also said it would work with the state on a coastal restoration project aimed at restoring marshland and providing storm protection around the planned facility.

Starship remains central to SpaceX valuation

The expansion comes as Musk pursues several ambitious projects across SpaceX, including a major expansion of the Starlink satellite network and plans for orbital data centers.

The company also has longer-term ambitions involving human spaceflight and Mars.

The success of Starship is therefore central to many of the initiatives underpinning SpaceX's valuation, particularly as the company seeks to support a market capitalization approaching $2 trillion.

For investors, JPMorgan's $240 target highlights the potential upside analysts see if SpaceX can successfully combine its aerospace and satellite businesses with its expanding AI ambitions.

The Louisiana facility and Cursor acquisition add two significant pieces to that broader growth strategy.
