CoinEx (CET)
CoinEx Token (CET) is the utility asset associated with the CoinEx exchange ecosystem and CoinEx Chain, a public blockchain initiative designed around decentralised trading infrastructure. CoinEx issued CET in January 2018, during a period when exchange tokens became an important way for trading platforms to align users, market makers, and platform development.
Within the CoinEx environment, CET functions as more than a simple tradable crypto asset. It is used to support exchange-related benefits such as fee reductions, user incentives, and ecosystem participation, depending on the rules and services made available by CoinEx. The token is also positioned as the native asset of CoinEx Chain, which launched its mainnet in November 2019 with a focus on decentralised exchange applications and on-chain trading.
CoinEx Chain is intended to provide blockchain infrastructure for asset issuance, order execution, and transparent settlement in a decentralised finance setting. CET’s role in that framework is comparable to the role many native chain tokens play: it can be used to power network activity, support governance or ecosystem functions where enabled, and connect the centralised CoinEx platform with its broader blockchain ambitions.
For investors and users, CET’s relevance is closely tied to the adoption of CoinEx services, the usefulness of its exchange features, and demand for its blockchain-based trading infrastructure. Its value proposition depends on whether CoinEx can maintain liquidity, attract active traders, and keep CET integrated into products that create practical utility rather than relying only on speculative demand.
