One of Edesa’s key programs is EB06, an anti-CXCL10 monoclonal antibody candidate being studied for vitiligo. Vitiligo is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system attacks pigment-producing cells, leading to patches of skin depigmentation. By targeting CXCL10, a chemokine involved in inflammatory cell recruitment, Edesa is pursuing a biological approach to a disease that has historically relied on topical medicines, light therapy and other treatments with variable outcomes.

The company’s pipeline also includes EB05, EB07 and EB01, each aimed at inflammatory or immune-mediated conditions at different stages of development. Edesa has described its broader goal as building alternatives to conventional anti-inflammatory treatments, including topical steroids, which can create side effects when used repeatedly or over long periods.
