Hasbro (HAS)
Nasdaq Market Open
Hasbro, Inc. is a global play and entertainment company best known for turning well-established characters, games, and fantasy worlds into toys, tabletop products, digital experiences, licensed content, and consumer products. Its portfolio includes some of the most recognisable names in family entertainment and gaming, including Transformers, Nerf, Play-Doh, My Little Pony, Peppa Pig, Magic: The Gathering, Monopoly, and Dungeons & Dragons.
The company’s business spans physical toys and games, hobby gaming, licensing, and entertainment-led brand development. Hasbro sells products through major retailers, e-commerce channels, specialist game stores, and international distribution partners, while also using media and licensing to keep its franchises visible across generations. Its Wizards of the Coast and digital gaming operations are especially important because Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons serve dedicated fan communities with recurring product releases, organised play, digital tools, and high brand loyalty.
Hasbro expanded its entertainment assets with the 2019 acquisition of Entertainment One, gaining properties such as Peppa Pig and PJ Masks, though it has since moved to simplify the portfolio by divesting non-core parts of that deal. The 2022 acquisition of D&D Beyond strengthened its direct digital relationship with tabletop role-playing players and added an important online platform around one of its flagship franchises.
For investors, Hasbro represents exposure to branded consumer products, family entertainment, and hobby gaming. Its performance is shaped by retail demand, content cycles, licensing partnerships, brand execution, input costs, and the company’s ability to convert popular intellectual property into durable revenue streams.
