Scully Royalty (SRL)

The Royalty segment is the company’s primary business and accounts for the majority of revenue. It is tied to an interest in an iron ore mine, giving Scully exposure to production levels, realised iron ore prices, operating performance at the mine and broader demand for steelmaking raw materials. Because royalty interests generally provide revenue participation without the same direct operating responsibilities as mine ownership, the structure can offer a distinct way to participate in resource markets.

Scully also reports an Industrial segment, which includes resource and service-related projects, and a Merchant Banking segment, which covers regulated merchant banking activities. These additional operations broaden the company beyond a single royalty stream, but its investment profile remains heavily influenced by the performance of the royalty asset.

Geographically, Scully reports activity across Canada, Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe, with Canada representing the largest share of revenue. This reflects the importance of its Canadian-linked royalty business within the overall group.
