AtomOne (ATONE)

The project’s native staking and governance asset is ATONE. Holders use it to participate in network security through staking and to vote on protocol and governance decisions. AtomOne also proposes a second asset, PHOTON, for transaction fees and IBC-related fees. This separation is intended to reduce the impact that fee-market volatility can have on the value used to secure the validator set.

A defining feature of AtomOne is its emphasis on formal governance. The project is built around an on-chain constitution and a structure of DAOs, including bodies such as a Steering DAO and an Oversight DAO, to distribute responsibility for decision-making and accountability. This model is intended to limit dependence on a single foundation or corporate entity.

AtomOne is also designed with Interchain Security in mind, particularly the ICS 1.5 model, where consumer chains can draw security from the AtomOne validator set while maintaining their own application-specific sovereignty. Its stated token distribution philosophy avoids venture-capital or foundation allocations and relies on community governance and DAO-managed treasuries. Within the Cosmos ecosystem, AtomOne seeks to act as a secure, politically neutral hub for chains that value IBC connectivity and conservative governance.
