Its research platform is known as the Cabaletta Approach to B cell Ablation, or CABA. The platform includes chimeric antigen receptor T cell approaches designed to target B cells that contribute to autoimmunity. Cabaletta also works with CAAR T technology, which is intended to direct engineered T cells toward pathogenic B cell populations associated with specific autoantibodies.

The company’s lead clinical program is rese-cel, also known as resecabtagene autoleucel, an autologous CD19-directed CAR T cell therapy. Rese-cel is being studied in Phase 1/2 trials across several autoimmune indications, including systemic lupus erythematosus, myositis, systemic sclerosis, generalized myasthenia gravis, and pemphigus vulgaris.
