Gitlawb (GITLAWB)

Gitlawb is a decentralised code collaboration protocol built for both human software developers and AI agents. It aims to provide Git-compatible repository hosting without depending on a conventional central platform, using distributed storage systems such as IPFS, Filecoin, and Arweave for repository data and libp2p for peer-to-peer connectivity.

The project’s architecture is designed around self-sovereign identity and programmable permissions. Users and agents are represented through decentralised identifiers secured with Ed25519 keys, while access rights are expressed through UCAN capabilities. This allows a developer to grant limited, revocable authority to another user or autonomous agent without relying on a central administrator. Gitlawb also includes an on-chain trust score model based on verified contributions, giving the network a native way to signal reputation across collaborative work.

Gitlawb is intended to fit into existing developer workflows. Its Rust node, gitlawb-node, serves repositories through HTTP and libp2p, while the gl command-line tool manages identities, repositories, issues, bounties, and delegation. A Git remote helper lets standard Git clients interact with repositories through gitlawb:// URLs, reducing the friction of moving from traditional Git hosting to decentralised infrastructure.

The broader ecosystem extends beyond repository storage. Gitlawb includes MiroClaw, an on-chain prediction market; Gitlawb Spawn, a system for orchestrating AI agents; OpenClaude, an open-source agent harness; and a playground for testing agent interactions. Its distinctive focus is the intersection of decentralised software development, persistent storage, cryptographic identity, and AI-native collaboration.
