SaucerSwap (SAUCE)

A key feature of SaucerSwap is its use of Hedera’s underlying infrastructure, including the Hedera Token Service. Hedera is known for fast settlement, predictable fees denominated in US dollars, and a consensus design that provides fair transaction ordering. For a decentralised exchange, this matters because ordering can affect trade execution and helps reduce the kinds of miner or validator extractable value risks that are common on some other networks.

SaucerSwap operates through two main exchange designs. Its V1 version uses the constant-product automated market maker model popularised by early DeFi exchanges, where liquidity sits across the full price curve. SaucerSwap V2 adds concentrated liquidity, allowing liquidity providers to allocate capital within specific price ranges and potentially improve capital efficiency.

SAUCE has several roles within the protocol. It is used in governance, giving holders a voice in DAO proposals and ecosystem decisions. It also supports liquidity incentives through farming and emissions programmes, and holders can stake SAUCE to receive rewards linked to trading fees, HBAR staking rewards, and buyback mechanisms.
