Securitize Tokenized AAA CLO Fund (STAC)

Collateralized loan obligations are securitized portfolios backed primarily by senior secured corporate loans. The cash flows from those loan pools are divided into tranches with different risk and return profiles. AAA CLO tranches sit at the senior end of the capital structure and are generally designed to absorb losses only after more junior tranches are impaired. Historically, this part of the CLO market has appealed to institutions seeking high-quality floating-rate credit exposure, diversification across borrowers and sectors, and yields that can compare favourably with other highly rated fixed-income instruments.

The fund’s tokenized format is intended to simplify access to an asset class that has traditionally been operationally complex and largely institutional. Securitize’s infrastructure is used to represent fund interests on-chain, while servicing and custody arrangements are described as institutional-grade, including support from BNY. This combination places STAC within the broader real-world asset tokenization trend, where private credit, bonds, funds, and other financial assets are issued or administered using blockchain-based rails.

For investors, the key distinction is that STAC is tied to a regulated credit portfolio rather than the economics of a native blockchain network. Its performance depends on the underlying CLO holdings, credit conditions, interest rates, fees, and fund structure.
