Accel Entertainment (ACEL)
NYSE Market Closed
Accel Entertainment, Inc. is a distributed gaming operator focused on local entertainment venues in the United States. Rather than operating large destination casinos, the company places and services gaming terminals in authorized non-casino locations such as bars, restaurants, convenience stores, liquor stores, truck stops, grocery stores, and other neighborhood businesses. This model gives venue owners an additional source of customer traffic and revenue while allowing players to access regulated gaming in familiar local settings.
The company’s core operations include installing, maintaining, operating, and servicing video gaming terminals and related equipment. It also provides redemption devices that pay out winnings and often include automated teller machine functionality. In addition to gaming terminals, Accel supplies amusement devices and operates stand-alone ATMs in both gaming and non-gaming locations.
Accel generates revenue primarily from net gaming activity, with additional contributions from amusement equipment, manufacturing-related activities, ATM fees, and other services. Its business depends on state and local gaming regulations, licensing requirements, location partnerships, machine performance, and consumer spending at host establishments. Because distributed gaming is regulated on a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction basis, the company’s growth opportunities are closely tied to market openings, route expansion, acquisitions, and deeper penetration in existing territories.
The company is distinctive for its route-based operating model and its role as a service provider to small and midsized local venues. By combining gaming terminals, cash access, equipment support, and compliance infrastructure, Accel positions itself as a turnkey partner for businesses that are permitted to offer legal gaming entertainment outside traditional casino properties.
