Its main business is universal banking, led by Banco de Crédito del Perú, which provides retail and commercial banking products such as deposits, loans, credit cards, cash management, and trade finance. Credicorp also operates in insurance and pensions through businesses such as Grupo Pacífico and Prima AFP, giving it exposure to life, property and casualty coverage, health insurance, and retirement savings. In microfinance, the group reaches lower-income and underbanked customers, an important market in Peru and neighboring economies.

Credicorp’s capital markets activities are housed largely under Credicorp Capital, which offers investment banking, brokerage, wealth management, and asset management services. This gives the group a role in corporate financing, securities trading, and institutional investment across markets including Peru, Colombia, and Chile.

Although Credicorp has operations in several countries, including Bolivia, Panama, Mexico, and the United States, Peru remains the core earnings driver. The company’s performance is closely tied to Peruvian credit demand, interest rates, currency movements, asset quality, and broader economic conditions. Its diversified model is a key feature: banking, insurance, pensions, microfinance, and investment services provide multiple revenue streams within one regional financial group.
