Nordson Corp. is an industrial technology company that designs and manufactures precision equipment used to dispense, apply, control, and process materials. Its products include pumps, valves, nozzles, applicators, filters, pelletizers, and related systems that help customers manage adhesives, coatings, sealants, polymers, biomaterials, and other fluids or materials in highly controlled production environments.
The company serves a broad set of end markets, which helps distinguish it from more narrowly focused machinery suppliers. Nordson equipment is used in packaging, consumer goods, electronics assembly, medical devices, automotive, general industrial manufacturing, and polymer processing. Many of its systems are embedded in customers’ production lines, where accuracy, reliability, and process consistency are important to quality and efficiency.
Nordson operates through three main business areas: Industrial Precision Solutions, Medical and Fluid Solutions, and Advanced Technology Solutions. The industrial segment includes dispensing and processing equipment used across manufacturing and packaging applications. Medical and Fluid Solutions provides components and systems for medical technology, biopharma, and fluid management. Advanced Technology Solutions focuses on high-precision dispensing, test, and inspection tools used in electronics and other advanced manufacturing settings.
With approximately $2.8 billion in revenue in fiscal 2025, Nordson is a sizable player in niche industrial markets rather than a mass-market equipment maker. Its business model benefits from specialized engineering, aftermarket parts and service, and long relationships with customers that require dependable process technology. For investors, NDSN offers exposure to automation, advanced manufacturing, medical production, and global industrial capital spending.
