Aster (ASTER)

The platform was formed through the combination of Astherus and APX Finance, with APX holders given a path to migrate into the ASTER token. Aster supports perpetual markets for crypto assets and also offers exposure to selected US equity markets, with trades settled through crypto infrastructure rather than traditional brokerage rails. It operates across several major networks, including BNB Chain, Ethereum, Solana, and Arbitrum, and aims to reduce the friction of multi-chain trading by aggregating liquidity without requiring users to manually bridge assets.

Aster offers different interfaces for different trader profiles. Its simpler trading mode is built around fast execution and protection against miner or validator extractable value, while its professional mode provides a more complete trading terminal with order book access, grid trading tools, and hidden orders that are not publicly visible before execution. The platform also allows certain yield-bearing assets, such as liquid staking or stable yield tokens, to be used as collateral, helping traders keep capital productive while maintaining margin.

ASTER is the ecosystem token. It is used for governance, incentive programmes, staking-related rewards, and alignment between traders, liquidity providers, and protocol development. Aster has also attracted attention because of its links to YZi Labs, formerly Binance Labs, and advisory support from Binance founder Changpeng Zhao.
