Nockchain (NOCK)

The network’s native asset is NOCK, which functions as the digital currency of the Nockchain ecosystem. It is designed to be scarce and to serve as the base asset for activity on the chain. The project describes NOCK as “hard money” secured by zero-knowledge proofs, a framing that places it closer to proof-of-work monetary networks than to application-specific utility tokens.

Nockchain’s architecture is also focused on transaction throughput as the network develops. According to the project, transaction capacity is intended to scale as mining difficulty rises, with the goal of supporting a high velocity of money without creating bottlenecks. That makes the chain’s performance assumptions closely linked to the growth and competitiveness of its mining network.

NOCK was fair-launched in May 2025 with no pre-mine, according to the project’s description. This launch model is intended to distribute supply through mining rather than an initial allocation to insiders. For market participants, the main questions are whether ZKPoW can prove durable in production, attract miners, and support a broader ecosystem of users, applications, and liquidity.
