Secret (SCRT)

The network is built in the Cosmos ecosystem and uses SCRT for transaction fees, staking, and governance. Validators secure the chain, token holders can delegate SCRT to participate in staking, and governance proposals allow the community to influence protocol upgrades and network parameters. Secret Network’s architecture has historically relied on trusted execution environments to enable confidential computation, giving developers a way to build applications where sensitive information does not need to be exposed on-chain.

This privacy layer is relevant to several parts of Web3. In decentralized finance, it can support private balances, sealed-bid auctions, or trading strategies that are not immediately visible to every market participant. In NFTs and gaming, it can enable hidden metadata or private in-game logic. It can also support access control, identity tools, data marketplaces, and machine-learning applications that require confidentiality.
