Xphere (XP)

At the core of the model is a Main Chain based on Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance, or PBFT. This component is intended to support fast and efficient transaction processing, making it suitable for applications that require short confirmation times and predictable network performance. PBFT-style systems are commonly associated with rapid finality, because participating validators can agree on transaction ordering without waiting for extended mining competition.

Xphere also uses a Proof Chain built around proof-of-work. According to the project’s design, this chain contributes to validator selection and network security, providing a separate mechanism for establishing trust in the validator set. By combining PBFT for execution with proof-of-work for security-related functions, Xphere presents itself as an attempt to address the common blockchain trade-off between scalability, resilience, and decentralization.
