SPX Technologies, Inc. is an industrial technology company that supplies engineered products for heating, ventilation and air conditioning markets, as well as specialised detection and measurement applications. Its products are used in commercial, industrial, infrastructure and utility settings where reliability, efficiency and technical performance are important buying criteria.
The company’s largest business is its HVAC segment. This unit designs, manufactures, installs and services cooling towers, air movement systems, heating equipment and ventilation products. Its solutions are used in buildings, industrial facilities and process applications that require temperature control, heat transfer or air management. Demand is influenced by non-residential construction, replacement cycles, energy-efficiency investment and the ongoing need to maintain critical mechanical systems.
SPX Technologies also operates a Detection and Measurement segment. This business provides equipment and systems used to locate underground pipes and cables, inspect infrastructure, manage transportation fare collection and support communication or measurement needs in specialised end markets. Products in this segment are often tied to utility maintenance, municipal infrastructure, transit systems and public safety workflows.
The company sells primarily in the United States, while also serving customers in Canada, the United Kingdom, China and other international markets. Its portfolio is diversified across product categories, but it is unified by a focus on engineered, mission-critical equipment rather than commodity manufacturing. SPX Technologies’ market position depends on application expertise, installed-base service opportunities, brand reputation and the ability to deliver products that meet demanding operational standards for building systems and infrastructure.
