Adaptive Biotechnologies, hastalıkların tespiti, izlenmesi ve tedavisini iyileştirmek amacıyla adaptif bağışıklık sistemini kullanmaya odaklanan bir yaşam bilimleri şirketidir. Test, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Gıda ve İlaç Dairesi tarafından multipl miyelom, B hücreli akut lenfoblastik lösemi ve kronik lenfositik lösemi hastalarında kullanım için onaylanmıştır. Ayrıca diğer lenfoid kanserler için CLIA doğrulamalı, laboratuvar tarafından geliştirilmiş bir test olarak da sunulmaktadır. MRD testi önemlidir çünkü tedaviden sonra kalan çok küçük miktarlardaki kanseri tespit edebilir; bu da doktorların tedavi yanıtını değerlendirmesine ve olası nüksü izlemesine yardımcı olur.

Adaptive, faaliyetlerini iki operasyonel bölüm üzerinden raporlamaktadır: Minimal Residual Disease ve Immune Medicine. MRD bölümü, clonoSEQ’nun onkoloji bakımı ve klinik çalışmalardaki ticari kullanımını yansıtarak şirket gelirlerinin büyük kısmını oluşturmaktadır.
