Verified Emeralds (VEREM)

The core premise of Verified Emeralds is that each token is linked to emeralds that have passed independent gemological assessment, including certification through the Gemological Institute of America, a widely recognised authority in gemstone grading. The underlying stones are intended to be held in secure custody, with auditing and verification processes used to support confidence that the on-chain tokens correspond to real assets. This structure is meant to address two common challenges in gemstone investing: authenticity and transparency.

Verified Emeralds also emphasises compliance and governance. The project states that it aligns its framework with standards associated with Abu Dhabi Global Market, reflecting an effort to appeal to institutional and internationally minded participants in the RWA sector. Alongside custody and certification, this regulatory focus is part of its broader attempt to create a more credible bridge between physical gemstones and token markets.

Within its ecosystem, VEREM token holders may participate in decentralised governance through a global DAO model. The project’s broader objective is to broaden access to emeralds as a store-of-value asset class while using blockchain records to improve traceability, ownership representation, and market participation.
