Corbus Pharmaceuticals (CRBP)

The most advanced area of Corbus’s pipeline is cancer. CRB-701 is a next-generation antibody-drug conjugate designed to target Nectin-4, a protein expressed on certain tumour cells, and deliver a cytotoxic payload directly to those cells. Antibody-drug conjugates are an important class of targeted cancer medicines because they combine the selectivity of antibodies with the cell-killing activity of chemotherapy-like agents. Corbus is also developing CRB-601, an anti-integrin monoclonal antibody intended to interfere with activation of the TGF-beta pathway in the tumour microenvironment, a mechanism associated with immune evasion and cancer progression.

Beyond oncology, the company is pursuing CRB-913 for obesity. This candidate is a second-generation, peripherally restricted CB1 receptor inverse agonist, designed to act outside the central nervous system. The approach seeks to influence metabolic pathways while avoiding central nervous system effects that have complicated earlier CB1-targeting drugs.
