Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE)
NYSE Market Closed
Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company is a global enterprise technology provider focused on computing infrastructure, storage, networking, software, and related services. Formed after the split of Hewlett-Packard into separate enterprise and personal systems businesses, HPE serves corporations, governments, telecom operators, research institutions, and service providers that need scalable IT systems for modern workloads.
Its portfolio includes servers, storage platforms, networking equipment, hybrid cloud infrastructure, and high-performance computing systems. HPE’s ProLiant server line is widely used in enterprise data centres, while its storage and data management offerings support businesses that need reliable access to mission-critical information. The company also has a significant networking business, strengthened by Aruba, which provides wired, wireless, and edge connectivity products.
HPE positions itself as an edge-to-cloud company. This strategy centres on helping customers run applications and manage data across on-premises infrastructure, private clouds, public clouds, and edge locations. Its GreenLake platform is central to that approach, offering consumption-based IT services that allow customers to use infrastructure in a cloud-like model while retaining control over location, compliance, and performance requirements.
The company is also active in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure, supplying systems used for scientific research, modelling, analytics, and large-scale data processing. Demand for HPE’s products is influenced by enterprise IT spending, data growth, cloud adoption, AI investment, and the refresh cycle for servers and networking equipment. Its competitive landscape includes major hardware vendors, cloud providers, and specialised infrastructure companies.
