Taysha Gene Therapies (TSHA)

Taysha’s lead clinical programme is TSHA-102, which is being studied for Rett syndrome. Rett syndrome is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder most often linked to mutations in the MECP2 gene and is associated with severe impairments in communication, movement, breathing, and neurological function. There are treatments that may help manage symptoms, but there is no approved disease-modifying therapy that directly corrects the genetic root cause.

TSHA-102 is designed as an AAV-based gene therapy intended to deliver a functional MECP2 transgene while using regulatory technology aimed at controlling expression levels. That distinction is important because MECP2 biology is sensitive to both insufficient and excessive expression.

As a development-stage biotech company, Taysha does not operate like a diversified pharmaceutical manufacturer with multiple marketed products.
