DUSK (DUSK)

Dusk uses privacy-preserving smart contracts and zero-knowledge technology to let applications verify compliance without exposing unnecessary transaction or identity data. This approach is intended to support use cases such as confidential trading, permissioned access to assets, and on-chain settlement processes that still satisfy regulatory requirements. The project positions itself around European market structure, with an emphasis on rules such as MiFID II, MiCA and the EU DLT Pilot Regime.

The ecosystem includes infrastructure for issuing, trading and settling tokenised securities, as well as custody tools such as Dusk Vault. Dusk has also highlighted partnerships with regulated market participants, including NPEX, a Dutch multilateral trading facility, and Quantoz, a regulated electronic money institution associated with euro-denominated digital money products.

The DUSK token is used within the network for core blockchain activity, including transaction fees and staking-related security functions. Its broader relevance depends on adoption of Dusk’s infrastructure by issuers, exchanges, custodians and financial applications seeking compliant on-chain workflows. Unlike general-purpose smart contract networks, Dusk’s main distinction is its focus on privacy-enabled, regulation-aware infrastructure for institutional and real-world asset markets.
