Spark (SPK)

The project addresses several persistent DeFi problems: fragmented liquidity, variable borrowing costs, idle stablecoin balances, and yield products that are difficult for ordinary users to access. SparkLend provides a stablecoin lending market with governance-defined rates, giving borrowers more predictable conditions than purely utilisation-driven models. Spark Savings lets users convert supported stablecoins such as USDS or USDC into yield-bearing tokens including sUSDS and sUSDC, which can remain composable across DeFi applications.

A core component is the Spark Liquidity Layer, a backend allocator that deploys liquidity into external markets such as Aave, Morpho, and selected real-world asset strategies. This allows Spark to support deeper markets beyond its own interface and reduce rate volatility where it provides liquidity. Its integrations span major networks including Ethereum and prominent layer-2 chains, reflecting a focus on scalable, cross-chain stablecoin deployment.

SPK is associated with a protocol positioned as yield and liquidity infrastructure for onchain finance. Its relevance depends on Spark’s ability to maintain conservative risk management while expanding the use of tokenised stablecoin capital.
