Theta Network (THETA)

The network’s edge layer is made up of globally distributed nodes that contribute computing and bandwidth resources. This infrastructure underpins Theta EdgeCloud, a hybrid cloud-edge platform aimed at customers that need scalable GPU capacity for AI models, media workflows, 3D rendering, and gaming-related tasks. Participants can run nodes and receive network rewards, creating an incentive model intended to turn unused computing resources into a decentralized service layer.

Theta’s blockchain provides the settlement, reward, and smart contract functions for the ecosystem. Because it supports Ethereum Virtual Machine tooling, developers can build applications such as NFT marketplaces, decentralized exchanges, DAOs, and other Web3 services on Theta. The project uses a dual-token model, with THETA associated with governance and staking and TFUEL used for transactions and operational activity.
