Adient’s products include full seat assemblies, structures, mechanisms, foam, trim, and related components used across passenger cars, trucks, and sport utility vehicles. Its customers include many of the world’s leading original equipment manufacturers, and its operations are closely tied to global light-vehicle production volumes, vehicle model launches, and automakers’ sourcing decisions. The company operates manufacturing and engineering facilities across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, with corporate offices in the Detroit area and a legal headquarters in Ireland.

China remains an important market for Adient, although its exposure has changed following the sale of its main joint venture in the country at the end of fiscal 2021. The company still reports revenue from consolidated Chinese operations and participates in additional business through unconsolidated joint ventures. Including those joint ventures, Adient remains one of the industry’s larger seating suppliers, with a meaningful share of the global market.

As an auto supplier, Adient’s performance depends on pricing discipline, material and labor costs, production efficiency, and the ability to win seating programs for future vehicle platforms, including electric vehicles.
