Allogene Therapeutics, Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing allogeneic, or donor-derived, T cell therapies for cancer and autoimmune disease. Its work sits within the broader field of cell therapy, where immune cells are engineered to recognise and attack disease-related targets. Unlike autologous therapies, which are manufactured from each individual patient’s own cells, Allogene’s approach is intended to create “off-the-shelf” products that can be produced in advance and made available when needed.
The company’s candidates are genetically modified T cells designed to target malignant cells in oncology or eliminate harmful immune cells in autoimmune disorders. Its core development areas include large B-cell lymphoma, autoimmune disease and renal cell carcinoma.
