Quince Therapeutics (QNCX)

Its lead platform is AIDE, an autologous intracellular drug encapsulation technology. The approach uses an automated process to load a therapeutic agent into a patient’s own red blood cells, which are then returned to the patient. By turning red blood cells into carriers, Quince aims to create a longer-acting and potentially better-tolerated delivery system for drugs that may otherwise be difficult to administer chronically.

Quince’s most advanced programme is eDSP, a formulation designed to encapsulate dexamethasone sodium phosphate in red blood cells. The candidate is being developed for ataxia-telangiectasia, often referred to as A-T, a rare inherited neurodegenerative disorder that typically begins in childhood and affects movement, immune function and other systems. The disease has no widely established disease-modifying therapy, making it an area of high unmet medical need.

As a late-stage biotech company, Quince’s value is closely tied to clinical execution, regulatory progress and the commercial potential of its lead rare-disease asset. Its common stock gives investors exposure to a specialised drug-development model built around a proprietary drug/device platform rather than a broad portfolio of conventional small molecules.
