Arbitrum (ARB)

The network has become one of the most widely used scaling ecosystems in crypto, particularly across decentralised finance. ARB is the governance token of the Arbitrum ecosystem. It is used by holders to participate in decisions affecting the protocol and the Arbitrum DAO, including proposals related to treasury management, ecosystem incentives and network development. The token does not function as the gas asset for ordinary transactions, which are paid in ETH, reflecting Arbitrum’s role as an Ethereum-aligned scaling layer.

Arbitrum’s appeal rests on its combination of low transaction costs, strong developer familiarity and deep DeFi liquidity. It competes with other Ethereum scaling networks, but its early adoption, large application base and active governance structure make it one of the key projects shaping the evolution of Ethereum’s multi-layer ecosystem.
