The project is best known for its Proactive Market Maker, or PMM, algorithm. Unlike standard AMM designs that distribute liquidity along a fixed curve, DODO’s model uses external price data to concentrate liquidity close to the prevailing market price. The aim is to reduce slippage for traders while allowing liquidity providers to deploy capital more efficiently. When prices move far from the oracle reference point, available liquidity falls away more quickly, which helps the pool adjust to market conditions rather than offering uniform depth across a wide range.

DODO also supports tools aimed at token issuers and professional market participants. These include mechanisms for launching new assets, creating customised liquidity pools, and supporting market-making strategies for long-tail tokens. Its multi-chain presence reflects the broader DeFi market’s shift away from single-network liquidity venues toward protocols that can serve users across different ecosystems.
