Geodnet (GEOD)

The network’s core use case sits at the intersection of blockchain incentives, geospatial data, and real-time navigation. By rewarding operators for deploying and maintaining compatible stations, Geodnet aims to create a global data layer for applications that need more accurate location and timing than standard consumer GPS can provide. Potential users include autonomous vehicles, drones, precision agriculture, robotics, surveying, mapping, construction, and logistics platforms.

Geodnet’s data also helps account for atmospheric and space-weather effects that can distort satellite signals as they travel to receivers on Earth. Correcting those distortions is essential for high-precision GNSS services and for systems that depend on highly accurate time synchronisation.

The GEOD token is part of the project’s incentive and coordination model. It is used to reward participants who contribute useful data to the network and to support the broader economy around Geodnet’s services. As a crypto asset, GEOD represents exposure to a DePIN model in which real-world infrastructure is built and maintained by a distributed community rather than a single central operator.
