American Airlines Group Inc. is one of the largest airline operators in the world and the parent of American Airlines. The carrier runs an extensive domestic and international network, anchored by major US hubs including Dallas/Fort Worth, Charlotte, Chicago, Miami, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Washington, D.C., New York, and Los Angeles.
The company is especially important in travel between the United States and Latin America, where it holds a leading position among US carriers. Its scale gives it broad corporate, leisure, and connecting traffic exposure, while its large loyalty programme adds a recurring revenue stream beyond ticket sales.
American has invested heavily in fleet renewal, leaving it with one of the younger fleets among US legacy airlines. Its results remain closely linked to fuel costs, labour expenses, travel demand, and the broader health of the aviation cycle.
