The company sells air travel on a stand-alone basis and also packages flights with hotels, rental cars and other travel-related products. This approach allows Allegiant to participate in more of the leisure travel spending associated with a trip, not just the airfare. Its customer base is typically price-sensitive and destination-driven, making demand closely linked to household budgets, vacation trends, fuel costs and broader economic conditions.

Allegiant also provides air transportation under fixed-fee flight arrangements, adding another revenue stream outside its scheduled passenger service. The airline segment accounts for the large majority of company revenue and remains the core of the business.

In addition to aviation, Allegiant has expanded into resort ownership through Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor in Florida. The property includes guest accommodations, dining venues and leisure amenities, giving the company direct exposure to hospitality as well as travel distribution. This strategy is intended to deepen Allegiant’s connection to vacation spending, although it also introduces resort operating risk and capital intensity.

Allegiant’s competitive identity rests on serving routes that larger carriers may overlook, using a leisure-focused network and generating revenue from both fares and travel add-ons.
