Kimberly-Clark (KMB)
Nasdaq Market Closed
Kimberly-Clark Corp. is a global consumer products company best known for tissue, hygiene, and personal care brands used in households, workplaces, and healthcare settings. Its portfolio includes well-established names such as Huggies, Pull-Ups, Kotex, Depend, Kleenex, Scott, and Cottonelle, giving the company broad exposure to everyday categories with recurring demand.
Personal care is Kimberly-Clark’s largest business area and includes baby and child care, feminine care, and adult incontinence products. These categories are supported by brand loyalty, product innovation, and distribution through supermarkets, pharmacies, mass retailers, e-commerce channels, and other consumer outlets. Consumer tissue is another major contributor, covering facial tissue, bathroom tissue, and paper towels. The company also operates a professional business that supplies workplace hygiene, safety, and sanitation products to offices, industrial facilities, hospitality customers, and institutions.
Geographically, Kimberly-Clark generates a little more than half of its sales in North America, while Europe, Asia, Latin America, and other international markets provide additional diversification. The company’s scale, manufacturing network, and long-standing retail relationships are important competitive strengths, although it must manage input cost inflation, private-label competition, currency movements, and changing consumer preferences.
Kimberly-Clark is positioned as a defensive consumer staples company because many of its products are essential, frequently purchased items. Its growth depends on pricing discipline, product upgrades, emerging-market demand, and the ability to extend trusted brands into adjacent categories. The company is also slated to add Kenvue’s consumer health portfolio in the second half of calendar 2026, which would broaden its presence beyond core tissue and hygiene if completed as planned.
