SelectQuote, Inc. operates a direct-to-consumer insurance distribution platform that helps individuals compare and purchase coverage from multiple insurance carriers. Rather than underwriting policies itself, the company functions as an intermediary: it uses digital marketing, data analytics, and licensed agents to connect consumers with health, life, auto, and home insurance products. SelectQuote earns revenue primarily through commissions and related payments from insurance carrier partners when policies are sold or remain in force.
The company’s business is organized around several markets. Its Senior segment is focused mainly on Medicare-related products, including Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans, a large and competitive area driven by the aging U.S. population and annual enrollment cycles. Its Life business distributes term life and other life insurance products, while its Auto & Home operations help consumers shop for property and casualty coverage.
