Constellation (DAG)

The project’s native token, DAG, is used within the Constellation ecosystem to support network security, validation, and access to services. Constellation positions itself as infrastructure for data-intensive applications, with an emphasis on secure data exchange, interoperability, and enterprise-grade distributed systems. Its architecture is designed to support modular applications, sometimes described through a microservices model, where different components can perform specific functions while communicating through defined interfaces.

Constellation’s Hypergraph network is central to this model. It aims to provide a framework in which developers, organisations, and node operators can build or connect specialised networks while still benefiting from a shared underlying protocol. This differentiates it from many earlier blockchain systems that prioritise asset transfer but struggle with throughput or complex data workflows.
