OpenGradient (OPG)

Unlike a general-purpose blockchain, OpenGradient functions as a specialized AI coprocessor. Its role is to handle computationally intensive tasks such as model inference and verification through a distributed network of GPU operators and Trusted Execution Environment nodes. This architecture is intended to let external systems outsource AI work while still receiving cryptographic or hardware-backed evidence that the computation was performed correctly.

Verification is central to the project’s model. OpenGradient uses proofs such as TEE attestations and, where applicable, zero-knowledge machine learning proofs to establish trust in AI outputs. Validators review these computational proofs at the consensus level before results are finalized on-chain. The goal is to make AI services usable by decentralized applications and networks that require stronger guarantees than a normal API response can provide.

The OPG token is linked to this ecosystem and supports the operation of the network’s AI infrastructure. OpenGradient’s distinctive focus is not simply hosting models, but creating a verifiable execution layer for machine intelligence. By combining decentralized compute, proof-based validation, and compatibility with blockchain applications, it aims to give developers a way to integrate AI while maintaining transparency, auditability, and trust-minimized execution.
