Qubic (QUBIC)

A central feature of Qubic is its Useful Proof of Work model. Instead of directing mining power only toward conventional hash-based competition, the project aims to route computational work into AI-related training tasks. This approach is tied to Aigarth, Qubic’s long-term initiative to explore decentralised artificial general intelligence. The project presents this as a way to make mining economically and socially useful while keeping network participation open to a broad base of contributors.

Qubic also distinguishes itself through a bare-metal design, which means its software is intended to run directly on hardware rather than relying on a traditional operating system layer. The goal is to maximise performance and reduce overhead. Its consensus approach draws on quorum-based Byzantine fault tolerance concepts, seeking resilience even when some participants are unreliable or unavailable.

The QUBIC asset is part of the network’s economy and is connected to activity across its smart contract and mining ecosystem. Qubic also introduces a distinctive model for launching smart contracts, where participants can bid for shares when new contracts are issued.
