Resolv Liquidity Provider Token (RLP)

USR can be minted by depositing liquid assets such as USDC or USDT on a one-to-one value basis, and redemptions are designed to return an equivalent notional amount. The protocol also offers stUSR, a yield-bearing version of USR for users who stake the stablecoin. This structure separates the stablecoin user experience from the risk-bearing capital that helps support the system.

RLP represents exposure to the excess collateral that sits above the amount required to back USR. That surplus forms the Resolv Liquidity Pool, which is intended to absorb market, liquidity, and counterparty risks that could otherwise affect USR’s stability. In return for taking this junior risk position, RLP holders are positioned to receive a larger share of profits generated by the collateral pool.

Unlike USR, RLP is not designed to maintain a fixed one-dollar value. Its price reflects the value of the ETH-backed collateral attributed to each RLP unit and can rise or fall as the pool’s assets, hedges, and liabilities change. Minting and redemption are therefore based on the latest RLP price, making the token a risk-and-return instrument within the Resolv ecosystem rather than a conventional stablecoin.
