TUSD distinguishes itself through its emphasis on reserve transparency. The project uses independent third-party attestations intended to confirm that the number of tokens in circulation is matched by US dollar reserves on a one-to-one basis. It has also integrated Chainlink Proof of Reserve technology, which brings reserve-related data on-chain and can be used as part of controls around minting activity. This approach is meant to reduce information gaps for exchanges, market makers, and users who rely on stablecoins for liquidity.

The token is available across a wide range of centralised exchanges and decentralised environments, and it has been deployed on multiple public blockchains, including Ethereum, TRON, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Fantom, and Polygon.
