Arvinas, Inc is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing medicines based on targeted protein degradation. Rather than simply blocking the activity of a disease-related protein, Arvinas designs therapies intended to remove the protein from cells by directing it to the body’s natural disposal machinery. Its work is built around PROTAC, or proteolysis-targeting chimera, technology, a platform that links a target protein to an E3 ubiquitin ligase so the protein can be tagged and degraded by the proteasome.
The company applies this approach mainly in oncology and neuroscience, where abnormal or misregulated proteins can drive disease. Its pipeline includes investigational candidates designed to address targets that have historically been difficult to inhibit with conventional small molecules. Vepdegestrant, formerly ARV-471, is one of its most closely watched programmes and is being developed as an estrogen receptor degrader for hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. Arvinas also advances additional candidates across cancer and neurological indications, including programmes referenced as ARV-102, ARV-806, ARV-393, and ARV-027.
Arvinas operates in a high-risk, research-intensive segment of the healthcare market. Its value depends on clinical trial progress, safety and efficacy results, regulatory outcomes, intellectual property protection, and the ability to manufacture and commercialize novel degrader medicines.
