Constellium (CSTM)
NYSE Market Closed
Constellium SE is a global aluminum products company that supplies highly engineered rolled and extruded materials to industries with demanding technical requirements. The company converts aluminum into value-added products used in aerospace, space, defense, packaging, automotive, commercial transportation, and general industrial applications. Its shares trade as Class A ordinary shares under the symbol CSTM.
The company’s role is not simply to sell commodity aluminum. Constellium develops alloys, designs semi-fabricated components, and manufactures products that must meet strict standards for weight, durability, corrosion resistance, safety, and performance. This makes it an important supplier to customers that rely on aluminum to reduce weight, improve energy efficiency, or meet specialized engineering needs. In aerospace, its materials can be used in aircraft structures and related systems. In packaging, it supplies rolled products used in beverage cans and other recyclable packaging formats. In automotive markets, aluminum supports lighter vehicle designs, including structural and body applications.
Constellium operates through three main segments: Aerospace & Transportation, Packaging & Automotive Rolled Products, and Automotive Structures & Industry. Its manufacturing footprint includes major operations in the United States, France, Germany, and other markets, giving it access to global customers and supply chains.
The business is influenced by industrial production cycles, aircraft build rates, vehicle demand, packaging volumes, metal prices, energy costs, and customer qualification processes. Its distinctive position comes from combining metallurgical expertise, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and long-standing relationships with customers that require high-performance aluminum solutions rather than standard materials.
