Intercorp Financial Services (IFS)

The banking segment is the largest part of the group and operates mainly through Interbank. It offers consumer loans, mortgages, credit cards, commercial lending, deposits, current accounts, and other financial products. The bank serves retail customers as well as small, medium-sized, and corporate clients, giving the group exposure to Peru’s household consumption, credit demand, and business activity.

Intercorp Financial Services also operates an insurance business that includes life insurance, annuities, and retail protection products. These offerings help diversify revenue beyond lending and deposit spreads, while also connecting the company to long-term savings and retirement-related markets. Its wealth management activities are carried out through Inteligo, which provides brokerage, advisory, and investment management services, primarily for Peruvian clients and other Latin American investors.

Payments are another important area for the group as Peru’s financial system becomes more digital. Intercorp Financial Services participates in a market where cash use remains significant, but banking penetration, mobile payments, and card adoption have room to expand. The company’s performance is closely tied to Peruvian economic conditions, credit quality, interest rates, regulation, and consumer confidence.
