Inhibikase Therapeutics (IKT)

Inhibikase is developing IKT-001, a prodrug of imatinib mesylate, for PAH. The programme is based on the role of abnormal signalling through type III receptor tyrosine kinases, including platelet-derived growth factor receptors and c-Kit, in disease processes associated with vascular remodelling. By using a prodrug approach, the company aims to explore whether a modified form of a known kinase inhibitor can be developed for an orphan indication with significant unmet medical need.
