Miller Industries (MLR)
NYSE Market Closed
Miller Industries, Inc. is a US-based manufacturer focused on towing and recovery equipment, serving operators that move disabled, damaged, or specialty vehicles. The company builds the bodies and operating systems used on wreckers, car carriers, rotators, and transport units, which are typically mounted on truck chassis supplied by other manufacturers. Its products are used by towing companies, recovery fleets, municipalities, military customers, and commercial transport operators.
The business is distinctive because it operates across much of the towing equipment spectrum, from light-duty units for passenger vehicles to heavy-duty recovery vehicles capable of handling trucks, buses, and other large equipment. Miller also produces specialized transport trailers and military-oriented products, giving it exposure to both commercial and public-sector demand. Its equipment is mission-critical for customers, where durability, lifting capacity, reliability, and service support are important purchasing factors.
Miller Industries sells through a portfolio of long-established brands, including Century, Vulcan, Chevron, Holmes, Challenger, Champion, Jige, Boniface, Omars, Titan, and Eagle. This multi-brand approach allows the company to address different customer preferences, geographies, and product categories while maintaining a broad dealer and distributor network. Revenue is tied to demand for fleet replacement, roadside assistance infrastructure, vehicle recovery, and broader activity in transportation and logistics.
As a listed industrial company, Miller Industries offers investors exposure to a niche manufacturing market rather than a diversified vehicle maker. Its performance can be influenced by chassis availability, steel and component costs, capital spending by towing operators, and the health of commercial transportation markets.
