The company designs and sells printers, terminals, labels, tickets, software, and related consumables used in environments where reliability, speed, and regulatory accuracy are important. Its brands include BOHA!, AccuDate, Epic, EPICENTRAL, Ithaca, and Printrex, covering applications from foodservice operations to casino ticketing and industrial printing.
A major part of TransAct’s business is tied to casino and gaming customers, where its Epic products support slot machine ticket-in, ticket-out systems and other transaction printing needs. The company also serves restaurants and foodservice operators through BOHA!, a platform that combines hardware, software, labels, and workflow tools for tasks such as food labeling, temperature monitoring, and kitchen compliance. This gives TransAct exposure to both recurring consumables demand and software-led operational technology spending.
Beyond gaming and foodservice, TransAct supplies point-of-sale automation, banking, retail, lottery, medical, mobile, and oil and gas markets. Its revenue base is geographically split between the United States and international markets, with the United States representing the larger share. The company’s model depends on selling installed hardware and then supporting customers through software, replacement supplies, and consumable products.
