Interface (TILE)
Nasdaq Market Open
Interface, Inc. is a global flooring company best known for modular carpet tile, a category it helped popularise for commercial interiors. The company designs, manufactures and sells flooring products used in offices, education facilities, healthcare environments, hospitality venues, retail spaces and public-sector buildings. Its shares trade on Nasdaq under the symbol TILE.
Interface’s core product line is carpet tile, which allows individual floor sections to be installed, replaced or reconfigured more easily than broadloom carpet. The company also sells luxury vinyl tile and rubber flooring, giving architects, designers and building owners a broader range of hard and soft surface options. Its portfolio includes specialised products for acoustic performance, electrostatic discharge control, heavy-wear environments and quicker installation systems such as nTx.
The business is organised geographically, with operating segments covering the Americas and a combined Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia region. The Americas segment is the largest contributor to revenue. Interface serves both corporate office customers and non-office markets, which helps diversify demand across renovation, new construction and institutional spending cycles.
A distinctive feature of Interface is its long-standing emphasis on design and sustainability in commercial flooring. The company has built its brand around modularity, material innovation and lower environmental impact, including the use of recycled and bio-based inputs in parts of its product range. This positioning is important in a market where large customers increasingly consider lifecycle costs, carbon footprint and workplace aesthetics alongside price and durability.
Interface competes with other flooring manufacturers globally, but its identity remains closely tied to high-performance modular flooring for commercial interiors.
