Apple has been rather busy in the past week. Without creating too much hype in the market, Apple Inc. has quietly acquired Spectral Edge. The small U.K based startup, as per the American multinational technology company, will help Apple significantly improve the quality of the camera on the upcoming iPhone devices. Both the companies have refrained from divulging the size or timing of the acquisition at this stage.

Spectral Edge Uses Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence To Improve The Image Quality

As per the sources, Spectral Edge specializes in automatically improving the smart device captured pictures with the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in general. While making colors appear more accurate on the screen, Spectral Edge uses technology that can brighten the pictures captured in low-light environments as well.

But that’s not all from Apple in the previous week. The company also announced that it plans on launching an ultimate version of MacBook Pro that is likely to cost as much as $52,000. For reference, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class starts at around $42,000. The Pro Display XDR on this MacBook Pro that uses nano-technology for the first-time costs around $6,000. The company further added that the users will only be able to clean this screen with a specially designed cloth by Apple itself. The cloth will supposedly protect the nano-texture that stands to be damaged with the use of common cloth, paper towel, or a microfiber cloth.

CEO Tim Cook also unveiled the all-new iOS 13 last week. Along with the few other minor tweaks, the new firmware focuses on new parental controls which enable the parents to limit the time that their children can spend on their phones.

The Phase 1 Trade Deal Saw Apple Avoiding An Additional 15% Tariff On Its Products

In a previous report, it was estimated that the next round of tariffs scheduled for December 15th will increase the iPhone’s price by $150 for the manufacturer as the majority of its partners are located in China. Following a phase 1 deal between the two largest economies of the world, however, Apple has successfully avoided an additional 15% tariff on its products.

Recently, Apple has also partnered with Michelle Obama (former first lady), and Ellen DeGeneres (television show host) for donating free iPads and Macs to all students and teachers at the Randle Highlands Elementary School. The television show host also announced an additional $100,000 in donation to the school to fund its plans of building a new basketball court.

Apple’s stock is currently trading at $275.15 that marks an all-time high for the U.S tech company.
